New foreign trade representatives will help Delaware businesses identify partners overseas

Foreign Trade Reps: New overseas partners for Delaware businesses

As part of the Department of State’s Strategic Export Plan unveiled by Governor Markell earlier this year, global Delaware has engaged foreign trade representatives to help Delaware businesses find partners overseas. The reps were selected by the global Delaware export team after an exhaustive international search.

Reps will work to help Delaware companies find opportunities in Germany, Mexico, Canada, South Korea, Israel and Brazil. Reps have offices in their home countries and are fluent in English and the language of the country where they operate (as well as other languages). All have extensive contacts with in-country industry associations and government agencies, chambers of commerce and public and private organizations. They have specialized expertise in assisting U.S. companies to establish distributor and customer networks in their country markets.

The reps are tasked with helping Delaware companies increase exports by breaking into new markets around the world. Reps will work in-country to perform market research and analysis, develop product strategies for market entry, identify potential customers, provide in-country logistical, translational and related support services and even negotiate with distributors. They will also help plan and lead upcoming trade missions with Global Delaware staff.

Meet each of the reps in our upcoming Global Delaware Expand series, “Foreign Trade Reps”, and learn how they can help grow your Delaware business internationally!
