The Delaware Judiciary has received national recognition for its commitment to improving data collection in order to make better policy decisions.
Delaware’s Administrative Office of the Courts received the 2016 Reporting Excellence Award from the Court Statistics Project, a joint effort of the Conference of State Court Administrators (COSCA) and the National Center for State Courts (NCSC).
One of only six states to receive this prestigious award, Delaware was also the only court system cited this year for its improvement in both trial court statistics and appellate court statistics.
Over the past year, Delaware’s judiciary has worked with the Court Statistics Project to improve the quality of caseload data it gathers and reports to be used for comparisons among states.
